GE Appeals Arbitration In $3.8M Turbine Repair Spat

Law360, New York (March 26, 2010, 4:22 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co. has appealed an order compelling arbitration of a suit brought by Allianz Global Risk U.S. Insurance Co. over the $3.8 million repair of a GE turbine owned by a Los Angeles utility, claiming that the insurer has no arbitration rights under the turbine sales contract.
