Microsoft Appeals "Eolas" Patent Decision To Federal Circuit

Law360, New York (June 9, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft has filed a brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, asking it to overturn the $565 million judgment against the company over the so-called “Eolas” patent.

The 174-page document, filed with the court on June 3, asks that the infringement judgment be reversed. As an alternative, Microsoft asked the court to vacate the verdict and grant a new trial.
