Fenwick Helps Cisco Close $3.4B Deal For Tandberg

Law360, New York (March 29, 2010, 3:27 PM EDT) -- Cisco Systems Inc. has received clearance from U.S. and European antitrust regulators to move forward with its $3.4 billion deal to take over Norwegian videoconferencing company Tandberg ASA.

The San Jose, Calif.-based network equipment manufacturer said Monday it plans to close the deal in the coming weeks after the European Commission allowed the deal as long as Cisco made certain concessions and after the U.S. Department of Justice said it would not challenge the acquisition in light of the commitments proposed to the commission.
