EPA Considers Regulations On Bisphenol A

Law360, New York (March 29, 2010, 6:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Agency is mulling new regulations on bisphenol A, a plastic additive used in a range of consumer products that has been linked to health risks, following criticism that the agency was dragging its feet.

The EPA will add BPA to its chemical concern list and will also take several other steps to address its potential effects, the agency said in a statement issued Monday.
