KPMG Nixed From Another Madoff-Related Feud

Law360, New York (April 5, 2010, 4:25 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed KPMG LLP from a lawsuit filed by a group of hedge funds seeking to recover investor losses related to Bernard L. Madoff's massive Ponzi scheme, one day after letting it out of a separate but related putative class action alleging securities fraud and common-law claims.

Judge Thomas P. Griesa of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted a request by KPMG and its Cayman Islands unit to be tossed from the suit, which claimed the company...
