Models May Get More In Price-Fixing Settlement

Law360, New York (January 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- More models may be feeling super after a ruling over the distribution of a multimillion-dollar settlement with modeling agencies accused of price-fixing was remanded back to district court by an appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled on Thursday that the models may be privy to more than just the nearly $10 million in compensatory damages they claimed from the $22 million settlement. The court also ruled that plaintiffs’ counsel could be entitled to additional fees.
