Ex-Desperate Housewife Files $20M Suit Over Firing

Law360, New York (April 6, 2010, 6:46 PM EDT) -- One-time “Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan has socked the show’s creator Marc Cherry and ABC Studios with a $20 million lawsuit claiming she was canned after crossing Cherry and drawing attention to his allegedly abusive antics.

The complaint, filed Monday in the Superior Court of the State of California, claims show creator Cherry struck Sheridan on the face and head while on the set of “Desperate Housewives” and later arranged to have Sheridan’s character written off the program after she complained about the rough treatment....
