5 More States Join Suit Against Health Care Law

Law360, New York (April 7, 2010, 5:42 PM EDT) -- Five more U.S. states are joining a multistate suit challenging President Barack Obama's health care legislation, including two states whose Republican governors have sidestepped Democratic attorneys general in order to jump in on the litigation.

Nevada, Arizona, Indiana, North Dakota and Mississippi will join the 13 others who are party to the suit, Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum said Wednesday.

The governors of Nevada and Arizona decided to jump in following announcements from their states' attorneys general that they would not join the action.
