Warner Chilcott, Roche Sue Mylan Over Actonel ANDA

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 1:29 PM EDT) -- Warner Chilcott Co. LLC and Hoffman-La Roche Inc. have launched a suit accusing Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. of patent infringement through its efforts to gain approval for a generic version of osteoporosis drug Actonel.

The drug companies filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday, on the heels of West Virginia-based Mylan's submission of an abbreviated new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market 150 mg risedronate sodium tablets, a generic form of once-a-month Actonel....
