Musicland Under Attack For Downgrading Claims

Law360, New York (January 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- As Musicland Holding Corp. prepares to liquidate, it is still battling dozens of creditors over claims ranging from a few hundred to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

On Monday alone, at least 25 companies and organizations took issue with Musicland’s refusal to process their claims. Many of the filers, such as M.H. Cohen Realty LLC and Shelby Corners, were asking for unpaid rent, while Microsoft Corp. denied that it had received a check for $124,000 for Xbox 360 consoles, Xbox 360 peripherals and Xbox 360 Live....
