No Luck For Nucor In Turkish Rebar Duty Appeal

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 5:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade made the right call when it ordered the Department of Commerce to lower the dumping margin for Turkish steel bar maker Ekinciler Demir Ve Celik Sanayi AS to a de minimis level, a federal appeals court ruled Monday.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rejected an appeal by domestic steelmaker Nucor Corp., holding that certain expenses related to foreign exchange losses should not have been depreciated and allocated toward Ekinciler's yearly production costs.
