USPS Workers Win Conditional Cert. In Age Bias Case

Law360, New York (April 15, 2010, 7:10 PM EDT) -- A federal magistrate judge on Thursday conditionally certified a class of U.S. Postal Service mail carriers from a Long Island, N.Y., post office who claim they were victims of age discrimination.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlene Lindsay conditionally certified the class in an action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The class will include mail carriers employed at the post office in Smithtown, N.Y., from January 2006 to November 2007.
