Asian Plastic Bag Dumping Hurts US Producers: ITC

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 4:49 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled that the dumping of plastic bags from Indonesia, Taiwan and Vietnam hurts American producers, a final step that paves the way for the U.S. Department of Commerce to impose duties.

Commerce will issue a countervailing duty order on imports from Vietnam and anti-dumping duty orders on imports from all three countries, the ITC said in a statement Thursday.
