High Court Remands Class Action, Citing Shady Grove

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 1:53 PM EDT) -- In light of its recent ruling in Shady Grove Orthopedic Associates PA v. Allstate Insurance Co. holding that state laws barring class actions cannot be used to throw class actions out of federal courts, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday vacated a decision tossing a putative class action against database manager Gatco Inc.
