DOC Initiates Probe Into Chinese Aluminum Extrusions

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 7:05 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Wednesday announced its initiation of anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations of imports of aluminum extrusions from the People's Republic of China, 20 days after the U.S. International Trade Commission launched its own investigation into the same products.

The parallel investigations were triggered by a March 31 petition from the Aluminum Extrusions Fair Trade Committee and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union urging a probe into several classes of aluminum extrusions,...
