Lawmakers Launch "Blue Card" Bill

Law360, New York (January 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bipartisan group of lawmakers representing states that face mounting labor shortages have reintroduced a bill that would provide guest workers for agriculture industries on the East and West coasts.

Legislators say the measure, called the Agricultural Jobs Opportunity, Benefits and Security Act, or AgJOBS, would help to ease the severe worker shortage being experienced by frustrated farmers across the United States.
