NY Chicken Chain Slammed With Wage-And-Hour Suit

Law360, New York (April 27, 2010, 2:54 PM EDT) -- New York's Pio Pio restaurants have been hit with a lawsuit by nine former employees who claim the Peruvian chicken chain failed to pay its employees minimum wages and overtime in violation of state and federal labor laws.

Chain owner Augusto Yallico “has decided it was more important to expand the popular chain and line his own pockets than abide by federal and state wage-and-hour laws,” said the complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
