Ga. Ex-Cop Seeks Collective Cert. In OT Case

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 12:56 PM EDT) -- An ex-police officer has asked a federal judge for collective action certification in a case accusing Fulton County, Ga., of failing to pay law enforcement personnel the federally mandated premium rate for overtime hours.

Joyce Myrick filed her bid for conditional collective certification in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Wednesday, seeking to represent a class that could include 100 current and former Fulton County Police Department employees, including police officers, detectives and field training officers.
