US Trustee Balks At CitiApartments Debtors' Counsel

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 2:51 PM EDT) -- Citing interdebtor claims among parties in the Chapter 11 cases of four affiliates of CitiApartments Inc., San Francisco’s largest apartment owner, the U.S. trustee has asked for more information from prospective counsel MacConaghy & Barnier PLC about its ability to impartially run the case.

Acting U.S. Trustee Sara L. Kistler's objection, lodged Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, said the Sonoma, Calif.-based bankruptcy boutique has failed to explain in detail how it plans to impartially represent the affiliated debtors....
