Lawsuits Pile Up For Antipsychotic Drug

Law360, New York (January 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The latest in a growing number of law suits against the makers of an anti-psychotic medication has labeled Astrazenenica contemptible for allegedly misleading the public about life-threatening side-effects of its popular drug.

Despite reports linking the prescription drug Seroquel to diabetes, manufacturer Astrazeneca Pharmaceuticals allegedly downplayed the risks and aggressively pushed the product as one of the best and safest on the market, the new lawsuit claims.
