Acacia Targets Fleet Management Industry

Law360 (January 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Telematics Corp., a subsidiary of patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp., has sued several major companies for allegedly infringing four of its patents related to fleet management.

The complaint, filed Tuesday before the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, named United Parcel Service Inc., Motorola Inc., @Road Inc., Ryder System Inc., Sprint Nextel Corp., Teletrac Inc., Verizon Communications Inc. and Xata Corp. as defendants.
