Yahoo Faces Copyright Challenge In Belgium

Law360, New York (January 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Belgian newspaper group’s efforts to remove member newspaper content from online search engines have now ensnared Yahoo! Inc.

After successfully getting Microsoft and Google to remove Copiepresse member newspapers from their sites, Copiepresse sent a formal letter to Yahoo! accusing its France division of copyright infringement, Copiepresse and Yahoo! officials confirmed Friday.
