JA Solar Can't Shake Fraud Suit Over Lehman Losses

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 7:19 PM EDT) -- JA Solar Holdings Co. Ltd has failed to do away with allegations the Chinese solar cell maker defrauded a class of investors by obscuring the fact that it sunk $100 million into a Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. unit shortly before the investment bank’s collapse.

Judge John G. Koeltl of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Monday that plaintiffs had made an adequate showing that JA Solar’s misstatements about its Lehman investment artificially inflated the company stock and exacerbated investors’ losses...
