Broker Cops To Conning Merrill Lynch Out Of $780K

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 6:40 PM EDT) -- A stockbroker pled guilty Wednesday to second-degree grand larceny and identity theft in a New York state court after he was charged with forging documents to get a plum job at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and then stealing his $780,000 advance.

Steven Mandala, 29, who faces a sentence of two to six years at his June 2 sentencing, pled guilty in New York State Supreme Court, where according to news reports he appeared cheerful and even laughed during the hearing.
