NJ Residents Sue Honeywell, PPG Over Chromium

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 6:33 PM EDT) -- Jersey City, N.J., residents have filed suit against Honeywell International Inc. and PPG Industries Inc. over alleged health risks and property damage associated with decades of dumping chromium ore processing residue, which the plaintiffs maintain is highly toxic.

Three named plaintiffs lodged the suit on behalf of other similarly situated New Jersey residents on Monday in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County, seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as court costs.
