Trade Issues On The Table In US-China Dialogue

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 7:20 PM EDT) -- As the U.S. and China kicked off the second annual Strategic and Economic Dialogue on Monday in Beijing, it was apparent that trade issues — from China's indigenous innovation rules and exchange rate policy, to U.S. export control regulations — would be front and center at the two-day talkfest.

Both sides stressed early on a shared goal of broadening and deepening their bilateral relationship, with U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner saying in his opening remarks that common interests included “building a more stable global financial system”...
