Sens. Push For Steps To Stop Spread Of Carp

Law360, New York (May 25, 2010, 5:33 PM EDT) -- Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., is leading a push to authorize the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to take steps to prevent the spread of Asian carp in the Great Lakes.

Levin and 12 fellow senators sent a letter Monday to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, asking it to allow the Corps to take specific steps to stop Asian carp from invading the Great Lakes and decimating native fish populations.
