Marvel Fights Kirby Heirs' Claims In Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (May 25, 2010, 2:24 PM EDT) -- Marvel Worldwide Inc. and The Walt Disney Co. have asked a federal judge to dismiss copyright and breach of contract counterclaims brought by the heirs of comic book artist Jack Kirby, who have sought to terminate the companies' rights to several superhero characters, including the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and the X-Men.
