Funai, Vizio Settle Digital TV Patent, Antitrust Battle

Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 12:20 PM EDT) -- Funai Electric Co. and Vizio Inc. have settled a long-running dispute over Funai's digital television patents with a cross-licensing agreement, ending several intellectual property and antitrust suits, a U.S. International Trade Commission probe, and a dispute in the Federal Communications Commission.

Funai and Vizio filed a motion Tuesday asking the ITC to terminate its investigation into whether Vizio has imported televisions that infringe a Funai patent, pursuant to a settlement and a cross-licensing agreement.
