Ga. Jury Finds Yamaha Liable For Rhino ATV Defects

Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 4:48 PM EDT) -- A Georgia state jury has handed $317,000 to a man who was injured when the Yamaha Rhino utility terrain vehicle he was riding flipped over, the first time Yamaha Motor Corp. USA has been held liable by a jury for damages related to Rhino safety problems, according to the plaintiffs' counsel.

The verdict, issued Monday in the State Court of Gwinnett County, also bodes well for hundreds of other plaintiffs who have filed similar suits in other state courts and in federal court, where the disputes...
