Class Certified In Fla. Chinese Drywall Case

Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 6:58 PM EDT) -- A state court judge in Miami certified a class in a lawsuit over Chinese drywall Thursday, marking the first time a class has been certified in such a suit in any court in the U.S., according to an attorney for the plaintiffs.

Judge Joseph P. Farina signed off on an order granting Jason and Melissa Harrell's bid for class certification following a hearing Thursday in the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
