Law360 (May 28, 2010, 12:19 PM EDT) -- Three former telemarketing sales representatives for U.S. Gas & Electric Inc. have slapped the company with a putative collective action alleging they were denied overtime pay.
Lazardo Denis, Carlos A. Lievano and Tony R. Perez filed a complaint against U.S. Gas and its CEO Douglas Marcille in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, hitting the company with one claim for overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The company is based in North Miami Beach, Fla., but customers of its natural gas and electricity are in New York, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio.
