Coke Must Credit World Cup Song Composer: Judge

Law360, New York (June 2, 2010, 8:09 PM EDT) -- A federal judge ordered The Coca-Cola Co. on Wednesday to credit a composer who has accused the soft drink maker of infringing his translation of a song the company is using in promotions for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Judge K. Michael Moore of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida partly granted a preliminary injunction requested by Rafael "Rafa" Vergara Hermosilla, who accused Coca-Cola of infringing a copyright for “Wavin' Flag (Coca-Cola Spanish Celebration Mix).”
