Padcom Sues NetMotion, Database Solutions Over Wireless Technology Patents

Law360, New York (October 27, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Wireless technology company Padcom filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Wilimington, Delaware against NetMotion Wireless and Database Solutions, alleging patent infringement of two patents on Padcom's wireless roaming technology.

The claim alleges patent infringement, tortious interference with prospective contractual relations and business expectancy, and common law unfair competition.

Padcom says it seeks a judgment against both defendants for infringement and related economic damages.

Padcom's patents support the company's TotalRoam(R) Mobile Data Software solutions, including TotalRoam(R) Mobile Virtual Network, which enables roaming across multiple...
