ITC Votes To Keep Duties On Plastic Bags From Asia

Law360, New York (June 8, 2010, 3:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted to retain anti-dumping duties on polyethylene retail carrier bags from China, Malaysia and Thailand, finding that revoking the duties would injure the domestic industry.

The agency announced the completion of its five-year sunset review of the duties in a statement Tuesday, saying that all six commissioners had voted to keep the duties in place.

The ITC said it would issue a report July 13 outlining the commission's views and the information it used to reach its conclusion.
