Hyatt Hit With Tip-Pooling, OT Collective Action

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 5:23 PM EDT) -- Hyatt Corp. has been hit with a proposed collective action alleging it improperly required hotel servers to share their tips with nontipped employees and failed to pay workers proper minimum wage and overtime pay.

Fernando Franco filed the case Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas on behalf of himself and all other hourly Hyatt employees who have worked for the hotel chain since June 2007.
