U-Haul Settles FTC's Collusion Allegations

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 5:00 PM EDT) -- U-Haul International Inc. reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday, resolving allegations that the company had invited its rival Avis Budget Group Inc. to collude on prices for truck rentals.

The proposed settlement order, approved by the FTC in a 5-0 vote, bars U-Haul and its parent company Amerco from colluding or inviting collusion with competitors.
