Judge Says Astaire's Wife Unlikely To Halt Annual Show

Law360, New York (June 10, 2010, 1:52 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has found that Robyn Astaire, Fred Astaire's second wife, is unlikely to prevail in her lawsuit challenging the right of Astaire's daughter, Phyllis Ava Astaire McKenzie, to hold an annual awards show honoring the late dancing legend and his sister.

Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York denied Astaire's motion for a temporary restraining order on Monday, the day the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards were held in New York.
