Ponzi Suspect Starr Pleads Not Guilty

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 6:49 PM EDT) -- Kenneth Ira Starr, a financial adviser to a number of celebrities, pled not guilty at an arraignment Friday to criminal charges lodged against him in a 23-count indictment over allegations that he ran a $59 million Ponzi-like scheme.

Dressed in dark-blue prison clothing, Starr appeared before Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York with public defender Sabrina Shroff, who entered Starr’s plea.
