7th Circ. To Review Patients' Antitrust Class Cert. Denial

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 6:32 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has agreed to consider whether a group of patients should have been certified as a class in their suit alleging Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Corp.'s hospitals abused their monopoly power after a 2000 merger.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit agreed on Thursday to review a district judge's denial of class certification.
