Philly Museum's Art Swindle Coverage Suit Stays In Md.

Law360, New York (June 16, 2010, 11:41 AM EDT) -- A District of Maryland judge has refused AXA Art Insurance Corp.'s bid to transfer the Philadelphia Museum of Art's suit seeking coverage for losses stemming from the fraudulent sale of two paintings in a major art swindle.

Judge Roger W. Titus in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on Tuesday denied AXA's bid to move the suit to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
