Qualcomm Faces Another EU Antitrust Complaint

Law360, New York (June 17, 2010, 8:23 PM EDT) -- Qualcomm Inc. and the European Union's antitrust watchdog are both reviewing a recent complaint accusing Qualcomm of anti-competitive activity, a development that comes after the European regulator closed formal antitrust proceedings against the U.S. chipset maker late last year.

European Commission spokeswoman Amelia Torres confirmed Thursday that a complaint against Qualcomm had been received and added that that was all she could say.

The new complaint was lodged with the EC by U.K.-based semiconductor company Icera, and the matter is still in a preliminary stage, according...
