Court Tosses Pension Age Bias Suit Against PNC

Law360 (January 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has upheld a lower court ruling dismissing age discrimination charges against PNC Financial stemming from the financial giant’s earlier conversion of its pension plan.

On Tuesday, the circuit court tossed out the amended complaint, sustaining the decision handed down by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania regarding one of the nation's largest diversified financial services organizations.
