FTC Considers Settlement In Intel Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 6:57 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for the Federal Trade Commission and Intel Corp. have agreed to stay their administrative proceeding over Intel's alleged antitrust violations while the FTC considers a proposed settlement.

On Monday, the commission ordered the matter withdrawn from adjudication through July 22 while it considers a consent decree submitted by the parties' counsel. The proposed consent decree, which is currently confidential, would resolve the entire case, according to the order.

Intel said in a press release it would not comment further on the proposed settlement.
