Judge Greenlights Twin River Casino's Plan

Law360, New York (June 25, 2010, 1:59 PM EDT) -- Rhode Island casino Twin River inched closer to emerging from Chapter 11 protection Thursday, with a bankruptcy judge signing off on a reorganization plan that will see the company handing over 100 percent of its equity to its secured lenders.

Judge Henry J. Boroff issued a ruling in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island approving the debtors' plan after finding it had been proposed “in good faith to achieve a result consistent with the objectives and purposes of the Bankruptcy Code.”...
