HannStar To Pay $30M In LCD Price-Fixing Probe

Law360, New York (June 29, 2010, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Taiwan-based HannStar Display Corp. has become the latest liquid crystal display maker to resolve the U.S. government's investigation into price-fixing in the industry, agreeing to plead guilty and pay a $30 million criminal fine.

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a one-count felony charge against the thin film transistor-liquid crystal display maker in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday, accusing it of participating in a worldwide conspiracy between September 2001 and January 2006.
