Morgan Stanley Consultant Pleads Guilty To Theft

Law360, New York (February 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former computer consultant for Morgan Stanley on Wednesday pled guilty to charges related to the theft of company proprietary information regarding hedge funds.

Ira S. Chilowitz, 44, pled guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to four counts of conspiracy, transportation of stolen property, theft of trade secrets and unauthorized computer access. He faces up to 26 years in prison and a fine of $850,000.
