Cleary Reps Google In $700M Travel Search Deal

Law360, New York (July 2, 2010, 12:37 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. has reached a deal to acquire flight information software company ITA Software Inc. for $700 million in cash, launching the Internet search giant into the realm of online travel searches.

In a statement Thursday announcing the tie-up, Google said it believes there is room for more competition and new ideas in online flight searches and vowed to work on creating new search methods once the acquisition of ITA is completed.
