Dentist Bites Nobel Biocare With Faulty Implant Action

Law360, New York (July 6, 2010, 4:24 PM EDT) -- A California dentist has launched a putative class action against Nobel Biocare Holding AG, alleging one of its dental implants causes bone loss, gum problems and other injuries that have left U.S. dentists to foot the bill for patient repairs.

Jason M. Yamada filed a complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on behalf of thousands of fellow dentists seeking indemnification for alleged defects in the Zurich-based dental implant maker's NobelDirect product.
