Homebuilders Sue EPA Over Expanded Lead Rule

Law360, New York (July 9, 2010, 6:12 PM EDT) -- The National Association of Home Builders has filed suit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for removing an opt-out provision from its rule governing repairs in older homes that may have lead paint.

The NAHB and three other housing industry groups filed a complaint Thursday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit seeking review of EPA's May decision to amend its lead paint rule to remove the opt-out provision.
